TFB: Where were you born?
AH: Arapaho, Oklahoma (a very small town : Population 796)
TFB: Different places you have lived?
AH: Houston, Baghdad, Los Angeles, London, etc. a bit of everywhere as I’m a bit of a nomad.
TFB: Your perspective as a photographer (how would you best describe your style)?
AH: Editorial, I don’t really like “pretty” pictures so much. I get bored easily; we have to take pretty pictures a lot in this line of work. With the pretty ones I always feel like I’m boring myself. The editorial is exciting, it’s interesting to me.

TFB: The place you find most inspiring to photograph?
AH: White walls, dark alleys, etc.

TFB: Where do you get your inspiration/things that most inspire you?
AH: The concept of prostitutes, Stoli Vodka, demented writers. Before I ever picked up a camera, I wrote. I still draw a lot on Kerouac energy. Hunter Thompson, Bukowski for my motivation, I don’t think that translates through to the images. Yet.

TFB: Education/experience
AH: I’m terribly uneducated. I’ve majored in trial and error.
TFB: Long term goals?
AH: Extend the boarders of the AHP empire. Divide, Conquer etc. Publish, a lot more, open a larger Studio.
TFB: Advice/inspiration to aspiring photographers.
AH: Be prepared to hear a lot of NO, and a lot of other people’s opinions on your work. Keep moving forward no matter what. Find your own voice; don’t just replicate somebody else’s shite.
TFB: Model personality traits you like/don’t like.
AH: I look for co-conspirators, creativity is a must. Good energy, I want models that are just as invested in the vision.
TFB: Any tricks or photography tips you want to share.
AH: There’s this one thing I do with my iPhone. It’s called Instagram. I’d tell you about it but I’d have to kill you.
TFB: What do you hope bring to the photography/fashion industry to leave your footprints behind?
AH: The real goal for all of us, I think is to usher in the next thing, to really innovate something original. Maybe a bit ecclesiastical but it’s tough, it’s all really been done, and most of the new stuff is just a new perspective of something old. So you’ve really got to be pretty damn creative.
TFB: Something no one really knows about you?
AH: I’m a bastard. No really. I’ve never met my father.
